Puccinia chaerophyllii on Anthriscus sylvestris?

Puccinia chaerophyllii on Anthriscus sylvestris?

From Dorset yesterday - I think it can only be Puccinia chaerophyllii on Anthriscus sylvestris but the Bladmineerders description doesn't mention urediospores with pedicels........Chris?

Termorshuizen and Swertz don't mention pedicels either. I wonder if your spores are germinating?

Thanks for the reply and suggestion Chris - there doesn't seem another possibility on this host so perhaps that's the explanation

Can't think of anything at the moment but those are pedicels - nothing to do with germination. Perhaps contact Stephan Helfer at RBG Edinburgh . . .

from a 2010 paper in Mycotaxon it was s.helfer@rbge.ac.uk if that no longer works you'd just have to go via the general RBGE contacts.
