Re: Website updates

I've added some text to the homepage which should help with Google rankings. Still on the 3rd page for "uk fungi" below the pembs fungi page. Admittedly, that is an older site, but also forums don't rank so well as the home pages of forums lack the text that Google likes. With WAB, the forum was a s...

Re: Website updates

I've altered how the title and alt text works for images. It was previously showing the filename, size and number of times viewed. Now it shows the file comment. Re: Forum Members

Many thanks Mike - now all is revealed! I see a number of members that I recognise from iSpot - possibly as a result of my 'advertising' there. Mark Much appreciated! Our Bing search result is very good (1st page for UK fungi) but Google is still not listing us very well (3rd page for Uk fungi). As...

Re: Rusts from dunes

1) Lots of dandelion lookalikes, especially in the dunes, well thats my excuse  I can see 2 pores on a lot of the spores, but as to whether they are equatorial or supra equatorial :? Thanks for confirmation, Chris. The single record in Pembs, 1987, was yours! P.epilobii is not recorded here.

Rusts from dunes

Forum a bit quiet, so how's this to liven things and my apologies for not knowing my plants. 3 rusts found on the dunes. All leaves are smooth. Re: Microfungus on Chamerion? (Rosebay Willowherb)

Rethinking, as these spores are uredospores, right? So P.epibolii has no uredosori stage, so this must be P.pulverulenta.

Re: Microfungus on Chamerion? (Rosebay Willowherb)

Great, thanks. Then it looks a good match for Puccinia epilobii (looking at the photo on Chris' Yorkshire Rusts pdf.)

Rust on Salix in willow carr

I know there are a lot of them. Is an ID possible from looking at this stage? Spores are 23-29 x 22-24µm.
