Under Beech trees in the moss around the trees and down the sloping bank on which the trees perch. This is the best I can do of what looks like milk on the gills. My camera does on like close ups of pale objects. Could it be that as it has been constantly raining over the last few days, that moistur...

Fungi ID again please

In Moss. Smells mushroomy. Spores very pale beigh/white. Gills seem to exude white milk, but not when cut.

OK Thanks, thought that maybe the case. Impossible for me to get down the side of the burn or even get near it, posted just in case you may have seen something like it before.

Thanks guys, but could you answer my question on last photo re polypore. I cannot get near them, either to get better photos or to get sample. but it would be interesting to know if you do think they are polypore.

What a lovely walk - amazing scenery. Photo 7 reminds me of a favourite stopping place in Glen Etive where the water flows between a deep sided ravine. how clear the water is.

Not been around for a while - fungi just appearing here. first two photos:- Masses of these have appeared and obviously loved by the slugs sizes ranging from dinner plate size to small, could not find any that were not eaten. In moss under beech trees. I noticed what I think look like polypore. Grow...

Can I recommend this wee book by Faith Anstey. most of the big guides I have are a bit difficult to follow or you have to scroll through masses of images. This book is "start to Identify Grasses" A beginners guide that make it really easy and can fit in your pocket. some of you might remember Faith ...

Fungi or Gall

This growth is on a very old beech tree I am not certain if it is fungal or a gall. the large growths I have seen on trees were generally a lot smoother or lined almost taking on the bark look.
