Re: Literature and resources for general fungi
A few new books are out this year
Grassland Fungi: A Field Guide - Wood, E., Dunkelman, J. (Monmouthshire Meadows Group)
Mushrooms and Toadstools of Britain & Europe Volume 1. 2nd Edition - Geoffrey Kibby - looks to be the defining new field guide, but haven't seen it yet. Volume 1 features the non-agarics. It quickly sold out and a second printing is underway.
Mention also should be made of the British Fungus Flora range with a reprint of vol 5 / Strophariaceae & Coprinaceae p.p. Hypholoma, Melanotus, Psilocybe, Stropharia, Lacrymaria & Panaeolus which, at £7.95 for 121 pages is very good for a specialist work.
Poroid Fungi of Europe 2nd Edition - Synopsis Fungorum volume 31: - published and soon in shops
Fungi: Mushrooms & Toadstools of parks, gardens, heaths and woodlands - Andy Overall (due end of November)
Book reviews welcome!

Re: Literature and resources for general fungi
I see the "The Genus tricholoma in Britain" by Geoffrey Kibby has been re-listed as a 2nd edition (2017) with the original being published in 2012.
Does anyone know how different the two editions are?
"The Genus tricholoma" in the Fungi of Northern Europe (FNE) series is a tempting offering, it was published in 2013 and in based on species found in Northern Europe (from North France up.) As I live in Pembrokeshire, and regularly get battered by south westerly gales, I wonder if we get Portuguese or Galician species. This could include species not appearing in the FNE book. This brings me to the Fungi Europeia books, which are quite dated (1980s and supplement 2003) but include species from Southern Europe. Does the Kibby book include possible Iberian species?

I see the Norweigian Mycena site has been taken down. Will remove it from the index.

Adam, Are you aware of any reason? Norwegian Mycena has been a fantastic site! Mark

Re: Literature and resources for general fungi
Maybe some current problem with the website?
I can access the main site : - https://mycena.no/ as per norm.
Most of the individual species pages are also available from the index list
Just some of those pages are giving the "page cannot be reached" error message.
Regards,
Mike

Re: Literature and resources for general fungi
Dear all,
the Cortinarius Fotoflora Project Team has been reduced for another important person by the death of Hakan Lindstroem earlier this year. The remaining team people thought since longer time about not continuing this series any more and furthermore now decided that they do not want to sell the books anymore and searched for someone (or several) to take the stock of their remaining issues.
So we (= myko-shop) have bought the remaining issues of the english version, which is nearly sold out - at least the complete series vol. 1-5 (< 10 left, only the latest vol. 5 is still available in quantities).
So we at myko-shop can at the moment offer all issues of the english version to reduced prices, means that the whole series of vol. 1-5 is only 250 Euro, including 3 ring binders (originally that were four) and without the separating sheets with imprinted section names (which are +/- obsolete anyway in many groups due to molecular inverstigations ...)
best wishes,
Andreas
