Fabulous - get it on ASCOfrance . . . .
Thanks Chris - I would have thought ASCOfrance would have ample of this species but clearly not. I will take some fresh images.
Here's one for today - Podospora conica.

Nice find Chris,

I was only mentioning that very same species to someone earlier today - although we didn't find any!

My fungus of the day is: -

Terana caerulea - Cobalt Crust: -

Hi, Not sure where your find but generally in England not common. In Scotland rarely seen. However Glamorgan VC41 seems to be frequent :)
3 locations within 300m of my garden last week and I'm sure a lot more that I didn't see on a brief walk!

Cobalt Crust Terana caerulea (coerulea in a lot of databases) - 8 locations found in less than 2 hours Brynna Woods NR, Glamorgan. Out of 325 records on ADERYN (all Wales LERC) database about 80pct in Glamorgan VC41. Not sure if VC41 is really such a hot spot or because we have good dedicated recorders? :) Photos 1. on Garden Privet 2. on Oak 3. on Hazel. Also on Ivy today - it is not picky on substrate

I think there are a lot of seasonal fungi hunters who may miss this but there are enough of us about and it is so distinctive I am sure the records are a true reflection of its distribution.

Mal, There are a few sightings in England and 1 in Scotland being posted on BMS fb page but I don't know if people are recording their finds.
