PhD Thesis -Alan Fryday

Post by AlanFUSA » Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:32 pm

After more than 20 years, my PhD dissertation (Ecology and taxonomy of montane lichens in the British Isles) has finally been scanned by the British Library, with financial assistance from the British Lichen Society. The two volumes can be downloaded from my ResearchGate site:

Some of the information contained has been included in my subsequent publications, but it also includes additional data and discussion that has not previously been available – including a lengthy introduction to the climate and geology of the British uplands.
Enjoy - Alan

Alan

Thanks, dipped in already, look forward to reading this in more depth latter.

Note to anyone looking for it, the location in Researchgate is not immediately obvious: go to the Research tab on Alan's page and open it, this has all Alan papers in date order, so you need to scroll down to 1997, which is quite along way down.

Neil:
Thanks for posting the directions! I wasn't aware of the problem at the time - I get a different screen because I'm logged in as me (obviously)!
