Request for Material of Sticta canariensis

Post by Neil Sanderson » Thu Mar 19, 2020 7:32 am

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the BLS has cancelled the field meeting to Harris in May. Prof. Dr. Silke Werth, of the University of Munich had been due to attend and had hoped to collect material of Sticta canariensis (either of the morphs,Sticta canariensis, canariensis morph or Sticta canariensis, dufourii morph) for:
I have been wanting to collect samples of Sticta canariensis for my Master's student who is doing a thesis on this
species' phylogeography. Is anyone of you likely to run into the species where they are living on their daily walks? All we need would be 3-5 samples from the UK with geographic coordinates. I will of course pay for the shipping costs.
So if any one has access to a strong colony could they please get a sample for Silke please.
